Consultation Limitations

Although I wear many hats, your consultations with me will be focused on lactation care. My consultations will not take the place of your regularly scheduled Obstetrician/Gynecologist visits or your baby’s Pediatrician visits. Any issues outside of breastfeeding will be referred back to your usual healthcare provider. A summary of each of our visits will also be forwarded to your provider to ensure proper continuity of care.

Payment Policy

There is a great deal of variation between insurance plans and the coverage of lactation services. For this reason, I unfortunately do not submit insurance claims. Full payment is due prior to your consultation, and you will receive a receipt/superbill after your visit to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance to find out if lactation services are covered under your plan.

Payment plans can be arranged, if necessary, in order to ensure the best possible start to your baby’s breastfeeding journey. Just reach out to me to let me know your needs and I will work with you.

Cancellation Policy

When your appointment is booked, that time is blocked out and dedicated to you and your baby. This means another client cannot be booked at that time. Since appointments are in high demand, it is important that you provide at least 24-hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment. That way, another client can have access to timely care.

If you no-show or have to cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, you will forfeit 50% of your appointment fee.

I understand that things come up – especially with little ones. So, if you must cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment for reasons outside of your control, rescheduling can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
